Zoids are billed as an action-figure model kit. Zoids kits combine two fun activities in one toy.

Before you can stage adventures of your own and conquer the world with a menacing, fully armed Zoids beast, you first have to follow the instructions for assembly and snap together all of the included Zoids parts like a traditional model kit. No glue is required, but younger children may need a little help from an adult to fully assemble the kit.

The completed Zoids toys can be configured in a few different ways and are often equipped with motors that power all of the Zoids moving parts. Note: Some Zoids small pieces may be a choking hazard for small children.

The Zoids Story

Zoids were inspired by Japanese anime and manga. Zoids are enormous metallic beasts that live on the Planet Zi. They serve as the ultimate tools in the war between the Imperial Forces and the Republican Army on the Zoids home world, with weapons such as 105 mm, 17-barreled assault cannons and twin crusher horns made with trans-steel titanium alloy. (Some, though, prefer to see Zoids as small plastic fusions of more familiar creatures.)

Only one thing is certain: the Zoids evolution will continue, as the original anime series is joined by the latest installment in the saga, "Zoids Fuzors," on the Cartoon Network.
